Just a Dream

I dreamt about you once,

your soft face and gentle arms.

we were under the sky together,

watching the clouds transform, change

like seasons.

I dreamt about you once,

your touch, your smell

lingered on in my dream.

the stale smoke on your breath,

passion in your eyes.

sorrow came too, 

along with shattered hopes,

your crushed dreams and a sorry soul.

I dreamt about you once,

stroking my tear stained face,

running your cold fingers

through my hair.

waiting, until finally,

your soft lips gently graze mine.

I dreamt about you once,

we were under the stars together,

your warm breath

falling softly on me.

those wishes i made, they came true

but only in this dream, was it all real.
